It looks so real. I can't wait to see it all furnished.
Use some real soot to really dirty up the fireplace to make it look used.
Any time you are out and about keep look for trash at the curb, you might find a lot of busted styrofoam coolers this time of year. Ask all your friends and neighbors to save any foam they have. I'm sure you will soon have a large supply of foam. Tell the bf to be on the look out for foam. Maybe you can even get broken sheets of builders foam for cheep/free from home depot.miniannaleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04729665494852851767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6820966594166189806.post-54387309642669120182010-06-04T09:24:10.462-07:002010-06-04T09:24:10.462-07:00oh my gosh Katie, it's so awesome! Bu tOn no now this is how Lola wanted to do her mouse house and I had told her it would be tto tricky and she should keep it plain on the walls and maybe make the outside of the house like the bark of a tree. But you have made it look so incredibly easy and so effective that I can see her nagging me about it lol!! Cant wait to see this evolve, so pleased your camera is working and we cna all share in this wonderful project. Lola loves it! I think the little "mystery" alcove will be a shower?!

As for building materials, styrofoam (or polyfoam) is the cheapest (because it is easily available as discarded packing) and the lightest. Ask around... The white kind that has the large "balls" when you carve it is much cheaper that the green foam I saw for some of your walls. That white foam can be purchased in various thickness at Home Depot (in very large sheets used for home insulation. You probably don't need that much anymore) for not much money. But maybe you will need a quantity for the outside. Check it out.

TabithaTabitha Corsicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09204999959878537971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6820966594166189806.post-31101846229335232862010-06-04T07:47:07.154-07:002010-06-04T07:47:07.154-07:00My imagination must be dead, could not "see&q...My imagination must be dead, could not "see" your design.
