Sorry to keep you waiting!

But this is not exactly working out the way I planned it. We made a video- not a good video- but one where Drew drew a name out of a bowl.... But I, for the life of me, can't remember how to upload it, lol. I've had issues with the computer lately, and have lost a lot of things... I did find my music though:) Thought I had lost that.....I'm listening to Blue October right now:) It's nice to have my songs back!! So..... I know, I know... You're here for the giveaway! :)

I took everyone's name and their favorite color, and put it on a piece of paper... cut them up, and then had my son help me fold them all. Then he drew a name............

Drew drew Roberta's name! Congrats Roberta! Please email me your address and I will get everything in the mail.... after I wrap it up all perty like!

OK... so this is another one of those things that I had hoped to have done today. When I spray and paint these animals... I first apply a coat of gesso-and/or- glue to them to help the paint stick better. And when you spray something, you can still kinda see the original color underneath, so I like to also paint a layer of paint in there.... So after they get their first 2 coats.... They get sprayed, and sprayed, and sprayed, and sprayed.... However, If is is humid- They will not dry quick enough for someone who is as impatient as me! I finally brought them in, and put them in front of the fan.... Tomorrow I should be able to age them:)

I've got a few projects going on here... There's a set of blue dishes that were those metal ones that have the spots... I gesso'ed them first, then they got a few coats of paint, before getting a few coats of glaze. It seems to take days to paint something properly!

I did manage to pick up a tube of bunnies and piggies from AC Moore's over the weekend.... I had really hoped to have them finished today being it's Easter and all...... sigh......maybe tomorrow?!

While I was taking pictures- I though I'd share one of my Mother's bright ideas with ya:) She got a new dishwasher recently, and took the silverware container out of the old one for me- She thought I could put my paintbrushes in them.... Even put little foam pieces in the bottom so nothing would fall out. But I'm using it as a paint caddy! It holds all my favorite Folk Art paints right now... Pretty nifty, huh! (Oh... and do you see the blue goat at the bottom of the page? He's the last of the antique animals I'm painting. Those that will be sold from now on out will be ones that I have found recently.)

Well..... It's time time of year...... Today is my Birthday! And that means it's time for a giveaway:) It's time to celebrate! Let's see?!

*I've been blogging since Febuary 2008... A little over 3 years now. I started this blog to share my polymer clay creations, and along the way stumbled across miniatures. Blogging has been my way to the outside world, I'm homebound most days, And it so awesome to know that I have so many wonderful friends a finger type away!

*I'm doing really good with Etsy! I've had over 100 sales:) Thanks to all my 'friends'! Who knew I would have to change my life like I did, and in the end, end up doing something I love everyday!

*And..... the best part! I've haven't had to deal with 'surgeries' for almost 2 years now..... And I've manazged to gain the weight back that I lost when I first got sick. My heart surgeon the other day was picking with me the other day about it.... Told me he normally has to get on people about losing the weight...But now that I had gained it back that he could see why I was trying so hard. And believe me, when you don't even want to eat, it is hard to gain weight. I think it's the medicine I'm on now, but whatever! I'm doing a lot better than I was! That's for sure:) I will have ups and downs, but I think the worst is over?! ...knock on wood...

So.... with so many good things happening~ I want to do a giveaway! First we have a Shabby Chic sign that reads friends! Thought it fit perfectly!

So...today, when I pulled back the curtain to take a picture of something else....I noticed a box sitting on my front porch..........and new right away what it was! Oh Jody! It's beautiful! I just love the material on the chair...and the 2 birds on the Perfectly sewn pillow! The flowers are amazing! I love all the color you got into them! Those peaches look good enough to eat! Love my table~ like the width on it! I can fit a lot of nick knacks there one day. I must say...it was a pleasure to receive such a wonderful giveaway from someone who I've been blogging with since I started blogging. I've always admired her paintings on Etsy....and her chairs, and Now am so proud to have one in my collection!! Thanks again Jody!!!

I had to bring the Toystore in last night, it's been sitting on the porch all week, and last night it decided to rain. As soon as I put it on the floor, Otis had to check it out......He says it still passes inspection!...

I'm just waiting on it to warm back up (anything under 65 and my teeth chatter!), so I can finish the 'plastering'.....I'd do it in the living room, but the bf would kill me! LOL! Did I ever tell you what he does for a living?? LOL...He installs carpet....Hehehehe......So, we won't discuss how aggravated he gets with me...LOL.......In my mind, he can Just replace it, right??? LOL

20 Loads of Laundry Later...

And I'm still alive! It is so nice to have a washer and dryer...no more dragging the kids to the laundry mat to wash 2 weeks worth of clothes at a time. LOL....I can't lift it, so I have to slave drive the kids! That's when having 3 comes in handy! I know, I'm a mean ole Mom!

~We now have front loaders~ you shoulda seen all of us, Otis included watching the first cycle go Around and Around...... LOL. It's the little things in life! Hahaha

OK *Please excuse my dust bunnies, they keep me company.......So. I forgot to show you this the other day. My oldest picked these up at the dollar store. I want to use the hair dryer trick to see if I can't get the doors off the one on the right...Both will probably get repainted at some point. Good looking out Drew! (Yes! That's the cover to the Big Love Season One DVD on the left!~ I dunno why, but I love this show!!!!!)

And speaking of movies....Mercedes recently asked me What my all time favorite movie is....and well I replied with a long list. I can't just chose one. I watch them every day, Yes.....it's my guilty pleasure. When me and the bf first got together I was bed ridden for a while, so our dates consisted of buying a movie, and cooking a meal at home. And here 5 years later, we have one heck of a collection. I love having them....but they sure are an eye-sore. In my other life, they'd be covered up by long curtains or something.....and, no, I've never counted them....
