Some Actual Minis Today!! LOL

Figured I better get in here and post about some minis or I might lose ya'll, lol! Here's a few things I've been working on...so to speak.

First are the Jugs from Marlies blog. You can find the pattern here: http://marliesminies.blogspot.com/ .......You know, we've all got it...The Jug Bug, hehehe....So here's my take on it. I took a piece of scrap booking paper....this particular one had The Little Mermaid on it....so I scanned it onto the computer......shrank it down to about 2 inches by 3 inches, Printed it out...Then traced the pattern onto it.....I really should of used a pencil to do this, so I could of erased those horrid lines!! Either way.....it's still cute! You'll get overwhelmed with all those different kinds of scrapbook paper to choose from!!

And, I, like many of you couldn't stop at one!! LOL....Well just say that majority of them I can't post online, because I had one of you in mind when making it!! What!?! You go take a look at Your scrapbook paper, and see if it doesn't happen to you! You'll go this one reminds of 'so and so'....and this one makes me think of this house that that person is building!! Just watch , it will happen!! LOL!!! So, here's a few that I made for us... Working from left to right....The first one is the classic picture of the little girl praying in her bed with her puppy and kitten. The second one is Mickey ears~ How cute is that?? Next is one with pink flowers for Katie's Corner....And a purple one with a dragonfly for Me.....and then there's The Little Mermaid one...not sure where she's going yet? I just liked her:)

Next we have something I dug out of the trash at my son's doctor appt the other day....It was laying on top....So it was fair game!! I think these are what the vials of medicine come in...But as soon as I saw them...I saw shelves! Imagine them coated with that spray stone and hung in the Star Wars Toystore!!

Jabba thought he'd show you what I mean......Look Sans!! Even he has a hookah!!! LOL

And last we have my updated sketch for Cora's bed. I was going for a Gothic look and think I got an 'India' Look!!! LOL, think I've watched the Karma Sutra Movie too many times, haha.....Hopefully once I get it into the clay, it will look more like hand carved stone....with a Medieval touch to it, LOL!!
So, that's about it for now......I have a really busy weekend coming up, so I may not be around till next week! Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!! :)
Until Next Time.....

Have No Fear!!!

......the possum is still here!!
See Casey.......he hasn't gone anywhere........I went out last night to call the cats when I saw something run down the banister, thinking it was a cat.......I turned to get it and quickly realized it was the possum!!! OMG! He's twice the size he was a week ago!! I'll have to take another picture with his head in the food bowl, so you can see what I'm talking about!!

What do these critters think this is....A hotel or something!!! Gees! We're, Actually it's just me feeding them, lol, so, I'm gonna put the bf in the poor house feeding all these guys!!! LOL!!

They're back.....

So....Otis was kind enough to wake me up at 6 this morning for his breakfast! He's very demanding and as soon as the sun comes up, He's up.....and ready to Eat! So, I got up....and went outside to call in the other kitties...As usual Rufus and Pocus were sitting at the door...But JD was MIA...So I walked out to the street and saw D staring at something.......I looked over and realized it was the kittens.....So I brought D inside and feed my cats...........And grabbed some food for the outside kitties on my way back out! That's Momma kitty looking at us.....Poor thing~ She's so tiny!! And look at how big her babies have gotten, They're almost as big as she is! If I sit real still they Will come up to me, But I can't even breathe, or they run away!

As you can see, she still has all 5 of them....In the bottom pic the black one is missing, But he came out as soon as he realized there was food~ he's in the first picture. Hopefully I can make friends with them long enough to try and catch them.....Right now, I'm still trying to keep them around with that Tuna!! Nooooo! They're not going to stay here.....I want to find somewhere that will find good homes for them. They're going to need to be socialized, but I think it will work....I need a really big trap or something! Hmmmm??

And as for my Kitties.....Otis thought he'd check out this shopping bag and has his head through the handle.....No, He's not been drinking....that's Daddy's beer.

lol.....And Grandma will be happy to know that Otis is still keeping a good watch over the kids camp towels!! Dang-on Otis!! Now I got to rewash them all before I can pack them~ He has Cat hair everywhere!!!!

And last but Not least we have Pocus.......She getting really bad about this!!! She does it to the other cats all the time, She'll just stroll over to the food bowl and use her head to push out whatever kitty is in the bowl...but when she did it to Drew yesterday, I had to laugh!! Poor fella was trying to drink his milk, and she thought she'd help!!! LMAO~ She has her whole head shoved in there!! Hahaha

Silly Kitties!!!

Hopefully I'll be back later with my new, improved sketch of the headboard!
See ya soon:)

Gothic Bed Ideas

I found this bed on EBay earlier......And have totally fallen in love with it!! The detail is amazing!! It's a bed for a real house, but I think I can pull inspiration from it to make Cora's mini 'Gothic' bed!!
Here's the link to it:

And here's another picture I found last night....Thought this would also make an interesting headboard!?!
So, when it came time to lie down last night I grabbed a piece of graph paper and started sketching out what I wanted....
.....Then it dawned on me....I have something similar to this in Polymer clay that I had made for a door frame for a haunted house. I never did make the house, and now I have these 'stone' pieces laying about....But they're great inspiration for me to go off of. I'd use this piece, but...it's too big! But that's Ok, at least I know I can make something close to it......

So.....I Thought ya'll might like to know what I was doing at 11pm last night...LOL.....I keep thinking, I hope none of my neighbors saw me last night or they'd think I'd lost it!! So I happened to go outside to see if any of the kitties were there, when I spotted movement across the street. And upon closer inspection, I realized it was the Momma kitty and 2 of her kittens......I was able to get some dry food, and started chucking it under this van to fed them, And Boy were they hungry....Then I made my son go get a can of wet food.....and as soon as I opened it, Rufus appeared!! LOL...So here I am, crawling down the middle of the road, in my PJs mind you...using my fingers to get small pieces of tuna out of the can so I can lure the kittens out...and with my other hand I'm trying to cover the can so Rufus couldn't eat it all. I was able to get my hands on both kittens, but they're quicker than me, and wiggled free..... These guys are totally feral......but I think If I could get them into a good home, they'd be OK. That's if I can catch them, lol.......Here's a horrible picture I took.....Haha~ You try taking a picture covered in tuna, Not easy, lol!!.....But you can see the little black one on the left and on the right is Momma and right behind/under her is the black, orange and white kitten......One thing I can say for sure is they were Well fed last night! Bet they went home and slept all night! Not to sure where her other 3 kittens were....hopefully they'll turn up again soon!
Well...I'm not to sure how much mini'ing I'm going to get done this week...I have to start getting the kids ready for camp....and figure out which way we're going this year! I refuse to go through the middle of the mountains again.....My body does like all that up and down, and all those curves and what not.....It's beautiful! But I can't do it this year!! The drive itself is already pushing it....but it's only once a year, and it's for the kids...so I don't mind! And I normally find somewhere interesting to stop along the way.....makes the drive more bearable if you break it in half and get out and walk around!!!

So....until Next time!!!!

I can't believe I let her talk me into this!!

Sometime over the weekend, Cora decided that she wanted the last room in her house to be a 'Gothic teen girls room'......If you remember, this room was first going to be a craft/sewing room.....then when she got her bunny family she decided she wanted the big brother to have the upstairs room......Well, I guess I waited too long to start working on it or something.....Cause the poor big brother is now the big sister, and she'll live in the "Gothic Room", Oh MY!!! LOL...She tried to convince me to paint the room black, and I told her she was crazy, so we finally agreed on purple.

This next picture is more the true color of it.....Still pretty dark if you asked me (dark for this house anyways).....but I figured I better get it painted before she changes her mind again...Although, Now that I think of it, that might not of been that bad of an idea, huh!! LOL

Boy, is it 'Pretty'!! LOL I only have the first coat done....looks like it may need a few more before I'll be finished. And then I get to start thinking of how to build a Gothic twin bed...I'm seeing one of those Gothic arches in my future....And maybe some Polymer Clay?!

She's lucky this is her house....LOL....If it it were my house....it still be a craft room. She did give me all the sewing stuff we've collected so far to go into MarshMallow Manor....seeing as the grandparents will be living there! What would Grandma's House be without her sewing stuff????

Any ideas on how I can achieve a Gothic look.....Or any good sites as to where I can see some good eye-candy as to what might look good would greatly be appreciated!!! Thanks!

Award time!

In case you haven't noticed, I have fallen really behind with my blog awards...

First is this award:

I received it from Jody at http://minileapsandbounds.blogspot.com/ some time ago...Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to it Jody!!

For the Reader Award you must grab the nearest book, turn to page 161, and copy the fifth sentence.

The closest book to where my computer is my Hammond's Atlas of the World.....and when I looked the other day....page 161 was the 'Middle Atlantic' part of the USA~ from Maine down to Virginia....And I live in Va., lol.......so, how boring is that!! LOL....I'd much rather be on page 117, in Kenya, Africa on some kind of Safari.....Or on page 36, in Wales riding through the country side on horseback....I have the Atlas next to computer...so when I'm out looking at blogs, I can look up where ya'll live! I also do a lot of day dreaming about where I'd like to go!! :)

I'm not passing this one on........so many have already been tagged with it, I'm just late....as usual! But please...if you haven't already done so, feel free to share your closet book with us on your blog!!!

~Next is an award that I have gotten from several people now.....
and
(If I missed someone please let me know......My mind is a little mushy this morning!!)
Thanks again Ladies for taking the time to think of me:)
The story with this award goes like this:

This award was designed by Ces for her friend Bella. Ces wrote:- I designed this award to celebrate art in the blogs and to honour the value of friendship, sisterhood, sharing and caring. It is to be awarded to the gifted, accomplished, eloquent and talented blogger, whose friendship and influence inspire us to do our best. That I named it after Bella Sinclair is because she epitomises all of these things.

Then I got curious and found this link on Casey's page: it the link to Ces's blog....

Casey wrote: 'Please go read about Bella at Ces's blog Ces and Her Dishes http://cesandherdishes.blogspot.com/2009//07/bella-sinclair-award.html From there I went on to Bella's own blog to find out more.'

I, too, went on to read a little of both blogs and will go back late for more. This is just the kind of award that should be going around blog world. So many of us depend on each others comments to get us though. I don't know about ya'll, but my family is tired of hearing it, seeing it....and the fact my craft stuff tends to take over every room, doesn't help either. I love seeing someone else get excited about what I'm sharing...it makes me feel really connected to all of you. Now I know many have already received this award, so I won't make you do it again.....

So......Here's to some of the ladies that keep me going!! Thanks for your friendship!!! :)

I hope you enjoy award! You all have totally earned it!! Thanks for being such great Friends!!
