And ya'll thought I had a lot of cats...

I got an email earlier pointing me in this direction: Go check it out.....I can wait..... :)

OMG! Talk about heaven! This is what we need! I could live on 30 acres with 500 cats.....and be completely happy, too! And look, there's even a blog!

Speaking of kitties.......Wanta meet mine?

We'll start with Pocus......our oldest kitty. She'll be 11 this year and has been with us since she was a couple weeks old. She's a bit of a food whore......Here she is in the pantry thinking about what could be in that McDonald's bag?!

And then there's JD, my guard dog. He's an outside kitty.... and lately his job has been to keep the outside kitties under lock down. NO one can come in our yard without his permission, lol!

Then there's Otis.....No matter who else comes along, he's still our baby! Here he is chewing on his nails.....

Remember Rufus......he's an inside kitty now! Right after he got fixed we let him back out, and before we knew it he was came home with one hell of a battle wound. So the bf took a tube sock, cut off the toes, and shoved it down around Rufus's neck.......he had a really yucky wound, that he kept scratching open, and this was the best way to keep him away from it.......You can see the sock under the ace bandage.....

He's fine now....and you can normally find him here:

(That's Jasper in the picture with him.......He sure loves his Daddy!) And he's the only one tough enough to wrestle with Daddy.

Next is Ninja kitty....he's so ninja, he slid though the crack in the wall in the bathroom, and is now an outside kitty again. This kitty head-butts harder than any cat I've ever met!

And then there's Bella girl. She sooooo sweet, sleeps right next to me and Otis every night! Oh, and she doesn't meow.....she squeaks!

Then there's T-boy. He's a sweetie, too.....He's just terrified of Rufus. (Mind you Rufus is his Daddy) He hides under Cora's bed 99% of the time....and Rufus sits at the door, waiting for him to make an appearance. I'd love to find him a nice quiet home to go to.

On to the 2nd litter........We start with crazy, lazy Fred. He's so lazy, he lays down to eat, lol. He's a sweet kitty, too.....just a little bit on the dumb side.

And he does a lot of this, (sitting on his butt) lol...... I have a lot of candid shots of Fred.

And last but not least is my Jasper....... Crazy, hyper Jasper. It's not Otis that wakes me up these Days......it's Jasper. He comes prancing across the bed and bites anything he can find. And generally he's bouncing across the bed every night as I fall asleep. Jasper's not a head-butter.... he's a face rubber. And if I take my glasses off, he thinks he needs to lick my eyes....so strange!

So. I still have 2 more outside, too. Boogers and Maggie. Boogers (looks just like Fred, but he has a black spot right under his nose that looks like a booger) sits in the window and stares at us....he wants to come in, I just haven't let him in yet.....(And for the record, out of all the new litters that have come in, I'm only responsible for Fred. The bf is responsible for bringing in the rest!)

And then there's Maggie........Last week we were thinking that she might have a kitten or 2 under the porch....Then I saw her carrying one....Then Saturday.......she brought all 5 of them onto the porch. I called animal control for help....and they told me they'd only come get them if I could catch the Momma. ($##^^&%^....thanks guys!) So....I put the kittens in a cage....and waited for her to go in. But I'm too slow for her, and before I knew it~ she grabbed one and took off with it. And at that point, I was over it, so I said: 'Awe Hell....take um all why don't you!' And walked back inside. I will try again in a couple of days.

So this is my real excuse for not getting a thing done lately. I love all of them, but would like to find about half of them new homes. Good new homes. They're amazing kitties, it's just too much for me.

OMG.....I forgot Mini-T. (That's short for Mini Tabby) Daddy caught him last week......We think when Maggie had her babies, she chased him out of the yard. We found him sitting next door screaming, and of course Daddy (the bf) couldn't let that happen, so he moved him in, too. He's so little.......and so loud. Daddy was ready to put him back out on night 2, lol.

So...that's where I'm at with that.....

overwhelmed and in love

More Jugs...

I don't know why we didn't think of this before?? A Monogrammed Jug! Isn't it pretty?! Oh the possibilities!

After seeing Sylvia's rooster jugs (Which you can find here:http://lotjesdollshouse.blogspot.com/2010/06/new-on-etsy.html ) , I knew I needed to make a pink jug with scalloped edges and poka-dots! Love those poka-dots Sylvia! Yes, I know....I'm suppose to be working on the tree house, but I got side-tracked! Ya'll know how addicting those little jugs can get.....right?! LOL Still trying to decide if I want to age these or leave them new.......?
So.....I have a secret to tell ya'll. About 10 years ago, I filled bankruptcy. I had medical debt up to my ears, and was sinking faster than I could swim. At that time, I also decided to cut up all my credit cards (all 3 them) And vowed to never have one again. And up until now....I still don't have one. I can't work due to a dysfunctional autonomic nervous system, so I have no business buying anything I really don't need. But I tell ya....It kills me when I see stuff on ya'lls websites that I can't have. And you guys are always so kind as to point me in the right direction as to where online I could buy something......I do really appreciate that! I just don't want everyone thinking I'm ignoring you......I'm not. I do normally go look at what people suggest, and then try and figure out how I can make something similar with what I can get my hands on. Blame it on my Mother...she used to drag me to craft shows with her, and disect what people had done, then come home and do it herself. Oh, she still bought stuff, too now.......just somethings she knew she could do herself. With that being said, oneday I'm going to win the lottery, and then I'll be able to buy anything I want, Bah hahaha.........
Until Next Time....

Mini Updates...

Looking through some pictures the other night, I realized that I've loved treehouse houses a lot longer than I thought. Wish I still had this one to play with......Yup~ that's me in the pic!

I promised you yesterday an update on my minis.....so here goes:
Meet the mouse family! Yes, this poor family is still in the box~ and shall remain there until the house is done. They will reside in the Treehouse.....Just have to come up with a better name....I don't like that word 'milky'. LOL, I'm sure the name will come to me.....just have to stop thinking about it, huh?!

And last but not least........Look at the furniture I got for Marshmallow Manor. Calico Critters have a whole line of furniture...and every set comes with lots of accessories! I'm on the hunt for the bedroom set now......they're not cheap, so I my have to wait till my next birthday:)

See....for the most part the house is still as I left it.....You know what it is.....its those windows, well...the lack of windows that bothers me. And a front door would of been nice. We're not even gonna talk about that dusty floor either......lol, at least there is a floor....the upstairs is floor less. Maybe curtains would help?

Well......that's about it for now. Busy day today, and if I don't get my butt in gear, I may never leave the house.

So......until next time......

Totally of Topic...

...So, earlier I was surfing the net and came across some pictures of an old asylum in black and white, and thought to myself.... Hey! I can do that with my pictures over in photoshop! And so I did.....Here's some of the pictures from Weston State Hospital, this time in black and white.

I just love how much it ages everything. Shows every bit of dirt and grime.....makes the rough edges rougher, Ya know?!

Makes this picture look like something creepy happened on that wall there...

I love all the different layers....the peeling paint, the texture of the walls, and that grimy sink.....
"Oh, if only the walls could talk....."

Sorry...just wanted to share my pictures with someone:)
Minis later, I promise :)

An update on our Toystore

For those of you that don't know....and for those of you that do know, but think I forgot about it....here's a quick update on The Star Wars Toystore....... I'm still working on it, lol, very slowly. For one, I have no where to put it when I'm finished with it, and I don't want to fill it, cause I know those darn cats of mine will come along and eat everything....they're already using it as a cat perch, and those that are small enough to walk through the front door, do. I think they think they've found a really cool hiding spot......and That got me to thinking of all the neat cat houses that could be made out of Styrofoam and plaster..... ha ha ha..... OK, back to this project.

I decided to add lips above the windows and doors using paperclay and plaster.

The plaster went here and there, with no real goal in mind....other than I wanted it lumpy in places.

See. Once you paint it, it all blends right in.

Still have to paint the outside it's final color, and finish some of the walls inside. One day it may even have toys in it....lol

Stay tuned for the next post......
I have recent pics of the furniture I got for Marsh Mallow Manor....
.....and I'd like for you to meet the family that will be moving into the Mouse House....

OH...Did I tell you that the 1/2 scale houses we found at Michael's Arts and Craft store are back......and this time they have castles....not to sure what the scale of it is....but I could sure see one covered in paperclay......wonder if the bf would notice a castle sitting over in the corner?? (I have been banned from buying any more house- LOL, ran out of room for them, Or so the bf says.....hehehe) Yes...There's always room for one more project down the road, Bah Hahaa!!

Until Next Time....

...The Baby Shower...

OK.....I'm bored, so ya'll are getting another post:)

This past weekend, we went home for my sister's baby shower. Baby Gavin will be here in the middle of August, and if I can......I hope to be there with them. I am soooo excited to be an Aunt!!

Thought you mini cake makers would like these pictures........Not sure if I ever told you, but my parents are unofficial party planners. They love this kind of stuff, however I think they just like seeing the family come together sometimes, too!
Here's my Sis.....see the baby belly? Thought I could get away with showing this pic, since it's not of her face.......

She even had a friend of hers over to do face painting for the kids....
Here's my youngest with his camo eyes.....
And a skeleton......
....And a pink face.....
And seeing as there was blue crabs on the menu, it only seemed natural for one of the kids to request a crab on his cheek...Too cute!!!

....But then came the laughter, and the tears.
My oldest sits down
and when asked what he wanted....
He said:
"Make me into a drag queen!"
And I tell you....
We laughed
and we laughed some more.
I love ya Drew!
Now that I've had a little family R&R.......I'm pooped. Spent all day yesterday in bed.....and plan on doing the same thing again here in a little while. I'm a little excited....Shutter Island comes out today!

((Oh....remember the asylum we visited....You'll never guess what I found to do this year....anyone down for a visit to the WV State Penitentiary?? Wanna go see old sparky with me?? LOL))

So until Next Time....

Blackberries!! And an Oprah rose....

One of my fondest memories of childhood was living in Wales! I LOVE the country, and still dream of one day going back! My Dad and I used to go on these walks, and along the way were blackberry bushes. I can remember eating them as we went......So yummy. Nothing like eating a warm berry fresh off the vine, now is there....

So this year when my birthday rolled around, I bought a blackberry vine thingy......and was even lucky enough to get fruit already. This is what they looked like last Friday....

And this is what it looked like last night. Today it's gone:)
LOL....I shared, I cut it into thirds so we each could have a taste.....lol, and boy, Oh boy....Was it good!

Don't forget to click on the pictures to make them bigger. Hope this gives someone out there some inspiration.....I'd love to see some mini blackberries.....

.....and while I'm in the garden, I want to show you my other birthday present! It's an Oprah rose. Really it is! It's called the Legend, and looking at the size of it, I can see why. I have big hands for a girl......Hopefully they show you how amazingly big this rose is.

Isn't it beautiful!

.....until next time...........
