Welcome back to the Garden..

It's that time of year again when everything is starting to bloom..... And it's really making me want to learn how to make mini flowers.... First I must find the patience and some steady fingers... lol... So- Instead.... I thought I'd take you on a tour through the garden, and hopefully it inspires You to make some Pretty flowers:)

I LOVE LOVE this first pic! This is one of the bfs orange crush roses... I took the picture with the camera pointed up so I could catch the sunlight. Makes me think of new beginnings...

I love the detail inside those roses.... In the afternoon...when the sun is hitting them just right... they are bright orange... But this year they are more of a red.

As always our 'tea=rose'? bush is about to go into full bloom. It blooms all summer and just smells amazing!

This is new- Our neighbor bought these as an early birthday present for the bf....they are blueberry flowers. He loves blueberries, and since the blackberries did so well last year.....our neighbor decided we should try blueberries this year. My birthday was last week...and we always buy plants for each other.... We just haven't been able to do it yet. But......soon:) Not too sure what I want yet... But we will probably end up with more Roses:)

A shot of the blueberries into the sun:)

The clematis's have taken over this year. One day we will have a trellis behind them so they can grow up instead of out....

But MY GOD are the beautiful! And some are the size of my hand!

Last year my other neighbor gave me a bunch of iris's that I planted around our big tree in the front... didn't think they'd bloom this year... But they are:) They remind me of dancers....so delicate!

And what would my garden be without a cat or two? LOL..... We caught JD using this strawberry plant to keep the sun out of his eyes..... Too freaking cute-

oh.... and I found my shadow. OK- so there's still a little kid left in me. LOL. I won't tell you how many shadow pics I took...

Just that It made me laugh for a bit, and sometimes that's the best medicine:)

So Until Next Time....

New Angels for the Garden

I recently came across these tiny angels... and knew I had to make them 'old'! I have several kinds, but only 2 are listed in Etsy right now.....
We will start with the Serenity Angel.....She's my favorite!

Naturally I had to take them outside for a photo op:)

And then there's this couple called The Love Angels....

Sometimes I wonder if I have more fun aging these pieces or photographing them, lol.... I go blind aging them- I use the smallest liner brush at the end and go back and add a darker brown to all the cracks and crevices....It just makes everything stand out better:)

Until Next Time...

I made them even smaller..

See... These are the ones I told you about last time I was here. They are smaller than the ones I normally make...There's only 2 sets in Etsy.

That's all it took to kill the stamp I had carved out. I use the end of a pencil eraser... and I think because it was so small it just didn't hold up....and after 6 houses.....the square-ness died.

But they sure are cute:)

Until Next Time....

Just a quick update...

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get back to that comfy point in my life where I used to blog everyday...This once a month stuff is just plain BS....I do right them in my head they just never make it to the computer. I know I still owe you some 'book reports'. But I wanted to drop off this pic. Hopefully over the weekend I'll have up some of my HOME houses. I made a few sets last night...even did a few tiny tiny house sets. Just have to sit down long enough to get them listed.

Life is really really crazy around here. I'm starting to come off my meds now. We will just say they did nothing for me but Ruin my life.... and All I was trying to do was 'save' it. Oh well. No more tears on that matter. I will have to stay on these meds for a while to let my body settle in on the low dose. I'm at half the dose I was taking before and I can already feel a difference. But my mind is still stupid-I cry all the time, and I still can't find a God Darn thing! But! I'll Keep Looking..... Maybe I put it in the walls? Anyways..... Hopefully my mind comes back. It is time to start over, and see where the next chapter takes us. I see the doctor next week, and then next month I see a new specialist that actually specialises in the disorder that I have- He's new to the area- and when I saw my heart doc the other day he was really excited for me to go see this new group. So..... like I said...a new chapter. A new life. Just in the same HOME.

Wish I could be more like the cats and just relax......

So..I'm going to finish watching 'The Quiet Man'
Until Next Time...

And idea I saw in a magazine..

Well.... I did manage to do something for myself the other day.... I went to the thrift store:) Hey- For anyone who knows me this is a treat. I do plan on doing a blog post soon about the books I picked up- Yes! I am addicted to books.... Even managed to run into the bookstore yesterday to buy ONE magazine and bought a cat book too, because of another blog post that will come in time. A little while ago I decided (with myself) that this was and still needs to be my HAPPY place.... so. This year I am going to try and keep it that way. OK.....

So... I did buy a magazine called Flea Market Gardens- Something that is Right up my alley... but while I was there- I scanned through a few others and saw something like this: and well.... You know how that goes... I had to come home and put the pieces together myself:)

I really wish I knew where I saw it so I could give credit where credit is due... But I love the idea:)

I still have several urns around here that I never got around to listing and I do believe there is one doll head in Etsy?

But this little fella is going in the glass house..... that one day, too will get finished:)

Hello Out There...

Thought I'd stop by and let everyone know I'm still around.... Just been caught up in the real world. When I know more about that, I'll let you know....but tonight...

Tonight! I wanted to drop off these 2 pictures...
We will call these my Valentine's Day Birdhouses.... Yes! Because they're Pink!
I found these chair legs at the dollhouse store and knew I needed to make some girlie birdhouses with them. I should have them listed by tomorrow in Etsy...maybe.....but you know me...always a day late...

I really love how these turned out and am wishing it was the summer time and that I had more flowers in the garden to take pictures with.....

I have one more pink one that has a faucet, but I can't seem to find my gesso to age the faucet.... Story of my life. I wish I had a 'find it' person here- It really would save me a lot of time- I swear they could spend all day just looking for things I've misplaced....

I have a pile of little birdhouses here, too. First it was Christmas Birdhouses- those still need to be finished.... Then I made some for Valentine's- those got finished, but not listed.... Can I get a person to go behind me and make me finish things, too.... lol. And then I need someone else to just spend the day listing all the stray items I have around here- from the bags of handmade polymer clay beads down to the last sign I have..... I am so behind.... And then... as someone asked me today- what about me?

I haven't done anything for myself lately.... Sometimes I'll make things and fall in love and not want to part with them- like I am the with the pink Valentine's Birdhouses.... but No.. right now... I'm not working on anything for me..... Other than working on me. But we'll talk about that later, lol.

So Until Next Time.....

I have a few questions....

I have a few questions that I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with..... I have tried googling the answers.... and have come up with some ideas, but I know you all have better information:)

OK.... I need to age some copper.... I'm reading I can soak it in ammonia and salt.... but I'm not that patient..... any other ideas?

Then I have a customer that wants a birdhouse for a terrarium and we are having a hard time finding a glue that holds up to the humidity..... Any one have any solutions there or know of any glues that might hold up?

I'd appreciate any ideas you have to offer:)
