One thing leads to another...

Just got done listing a few Sea Shells Shadow Boxes on Etsy... say that 3 times fast... And thought I'd share a few pics:) This one's my favorite. I normally gravitate towards the pinks, but I really like the dark shells in this one!!

It all started last night... I decided to glue together some beads so I can make myself some containers..... I need some small ones for Marshmallow Manor- and just made some extras.
Then this morning... After I let the glue Dry- I say that with improtance because I normally don't wait for that, and then things are fallen apart on me. So... Everything got a coat of white..... And while I ahd the white paint out, I went ahead and dry-brushed the Shadow Boxes...

Then I decided to make that one more project to check of my todo List! And... Ta-da!

Aren't they pretty! Don't forget to click on them so you can see the details in the shells, too!

This time, I went with the light colors in the light boxes, and the dark in the dark.... I think they turned out really good!!

So, Now that I'm done working today.... I can go get pictures of my surprise gifts that arrived yesterday!!

Until Next Time......

A finished Shadow box

I finished the shadow box over the weekend.....Even managed to find a small enough sea horse to fit! No, the penny is not glued down, lol, it's simply there to show you how tiny some of those shells are! The designs on some of them are very intricate! Of course, I had the inspector close by! Wouldn't want to overlook a broken shell or something......
so, I let him stay..........Until he started stealing the shells I had already chosen to glue in!

I really, really, don't like this gluing stuff!

I started gluing in the sea shells last night. Ya know, this has got to be my least favorite things about miniatures....Trying to glue tiny little things in tiny little spots! Uggg! The 2 big shells aren't glued in yet....I'd rather have a little sea horse or something.....LOL, that will be my mission today.....to find 2 tiny sea horses! Oh, and I still need to fill in those empty shelves! More gluing? How much fun!

I got the sequins glued on the one bird house, although I still think it needs a little something extra. Thought you'd like to see what the cake platter ended up looking like......Also made the crate it's sitting in. Then, while I was digging through that junk last night, I cam across another chair. Looks like Grandpa started to assemble it, but gave up...... It told me it wants to be pink, too......but, with a different flower! Guess I'll have to visit the fabric store sometime? Oh darn......hehehe
