Never feed a stray Cat!!

They Multiple!
In case you don't know the story.....This is Rufus- Not to be confused with Otis, who will get his own post later....... Rufus was a stray... I started feeding him, we buried what we thought was him here, and then one day he brought the family. It has taken me a long time to befriend all of them...But Now....There's only One outside kitty, and he's fixed!

So.....Rufus

....had a daughter named Maggie (Not to be confused with Ginger, the kitten that needed the blood transfusion).... Maggie was the last cat I brought in...... Took me months to make friends with her- she wouldn't even come up on the porch if we were out there. So I'd sit quietly next to her food bowl, and eventually she started to come up to eat... Then one I caught her. She didn't even freak out! I think she knew it was coming.... She's under my trailer in the picture....this is No place for a cat....or her kittens....

After her first litter of kittens (the litter that Wilbur came in)..... She had another litter. And at this point, I had had Enough! I love my cats, Each and everyone of them.... But this is nonsense!!! So everyone got caught!

This is her second litter of kittens..... With some of the most prettiest coats I've ever seen.... Gray bodies with black and white feet?!?

When they were brand new, the mother brought them up on the porch.... So I've been handling them from the beginning... It was almost as if she wanted my help taking care of them?! She'd bring them up, let us play with them.... Then come back when we were gone and feed them.

This is Teddy..... the bf has totally falling in love with this guy!

He's really such a sweet kitty.....

And this is his brother Bear- he stands up like a Bear, He growls like a bear...... And he's my shadow! Follows me where ever I go, wants to be right next to someone, But doesn't want you touching him, lol.

And here's Cleo again! Cleo- short for Cleopatra...... Cleo thinks she's got to be in my lap all the time..... She's so lovable, and she plays hard! When the babies are wrestling....she normally has the upper hand.

And did you notice that my once gray kittens are now black? They're the same kittens, they just changed colors on me.

The cat tree seems to be the hot commodity around here..... From back to front, there's Wilbur, Teddy, Fred and Cleo's up front in the corner......

And today we have Fred again.... And then from left to right is Bear, Wilbur and Teddy.

So now that I have way too many cats...... I'm exhausted! Someone is always getting into trouble...unless they're all sleeping. Don't get me wrong, If I could find homes for them, I would.... I've asked everyone I know, and I've managed to find homes for some, but I'm running out of friends. Maggie is in the bedroom, until we can get her fixed.... and she still won't let us touch her..... And the older males walk up and down the hall, churpping all day~ Very annoying!! And then there's Otis...... Who's keeps me busier than all of them put together. We'll discuss him later! So if I can find them homes, I will. And until then, I'm going to keep praying that I don't ship one outta here in one of the Etsy orders... They LOVE the boxes I bring home, and the tape... and the bubble wrap. I have to hide from them when I'm packing orders! LOL.... One day... One day I'll find homes for these guys and my life will go back to normal, LMAO.... Yeah Right?! What is normal anyways?? Ha haha

Ok...One more pic before I go..... This is Emma, Cora's kitty that lives at her Dad's house. I took it on Halloween, Cora had dressed her up for Cameron's birthday party.... Here she is sitting in the window watching the kids play outside..... So cute!

Well, Alright then..... I'm off to try and get some 'work' done today. The kitties are napping, the kids are at school..... and It's Mommy time:)

Until Next Time.....

Random pictures...

Thought I'd update you on what's been going on around here......

I finally got the 2 shelves (some plastic medicine holders that I got out of the trash at my son's allergists') painted...well, actually, I should say 'sprayed' I coated them with a stone spray then glued them into the shop. Just need a final coat of paint, then I can start putting in the accessories.

Although, I may not keep the accessories in it. The cats have claimed it as one of their houses....and you can always find at least one lounging in it. Here the kittens are running through it as I was trying to get those shelves glued in. Too funny!! Look close, there's 3 kittens in there....One is in the door.

First there's Lily. Lily will be going to live with my ex-husband at his house. You know there was no way Cora was letting this little girl out of her life:)
....another shot of Lily........

Then there's Wilbur..... Wilbur doesn't have a forever home yet, but we're working on that! Don't let his cute little face mislead you, this one is 'crazy hyper' when he's awake!!

Then last but not least is Houdini! He got his name because he kept escaping from the crate I had them in. And yet no one ever seen him do it! He's really sweet, and likes to cuddle. Sunday afternoon, my sister-in-law and my nephew came to get him! They were so excited to get a play-mate for their Jack (their kitty that they've had for a couple of years)...And it felt good to know that I found another Feral kitten a Good home!! I don't care what anyone says, There IS hope for Feral cats!

And my last pic is of the spider that has taken up residency right next to our front door.....We have been enjoying watching 'her' build her webs, but now that she has a nest, I'm not too sure about her anymore.....I really don't like spiders......and I darn sure don't want a army of them living out here......Yikes!!!
Look at her shadow, lol. Neat pic, huh??

Until next time.....

I miss them already!!

Thought I'd give you an update about the kittens.....and hopefully later today I can get back and tell you about the candles.....

So Friday morning we woke up and Fuzz, one of the feral kittens I have been working with, was gone. And then Saturday morning Possum (another feral kitten) disappeared:( And...well....I was beside myself. I have walked all over and haven't found them, so maybe that's good news. Maybe by me working with them, it made them people friendly, and they got picked up by someone amazing, who wants to give them a forever home. Or at least this is what I keep telling myself. Fuzz and Possum were the 2 most friendliest kitties I had, and the easiest to catch. So...like I said, hopefully there sitting in some one's house.....living the good life.

Then, yesterday afternoon, I woke up from a nap in the afternoon to the bf luring the rest of the kittens into the house. It took him a lot of bribing, but we finally got them in here. It's not the first time they've been in here, we lure them in all the time, we've just never shut the front door on them, until last night......and I am surprised how good they did. The spent the night under my son's bed.....and woke me up around 7 this morning...but then again, that is what time I normally feed them....so they were right on schedule.......

And after breakfast......Otis taught them how to use the litter box, lol.

I swear that it wasn't but 2 minutes after Otis got out, that the little girl, Bella....got in! Good Girl!!! I knew she she was smart!! And do you see how fluffy her tail is?? It's as big as she is! LOL!! That's T-boy watching (short for Tabby Boy, lol, what can I say, the kids named all but Possum~ he was my favorite!!)....and Sphinx, the all black one, is hiding at the moment......

I'm not sure how this is going to work out.....I guess time will tell, huh! But for now, everyone is napping (T-boy is now In the bed!! See...beats laying in the dirt, doesn't it Buddy!!).......and Otis is curled up in my lap, peacefully sleeping. He's doing OK with them......he just makes sure he watches every thing they do.

Meet the Family.....of kittens

Well.......I think these guys are here to stay...at least for a little while. I've been working with them everyday, trying my hardest to socialize them...but don't feel like I'm getting very far with them. I can feed them from my hands, and they come up to me in the morning, Meowing, for their breakfast....I just can't touch them...or they run off.....Well, all but one does, But we'll talk about him in a minute.

So...First meet the twins. I'm starting to be able to tell them apart....The one on the right has a black stripe on his nose, and he's a little bit smaller....The one the left is really shy, and generally hangs out with the black and white one. Yes, I do think all but one are boys~ We watch them wrestle, and well...you can tell:)

Here's a close up of the one with the stripe on his nose, it's a little black stripe, but enough to be there.

And here's a cute picture of the one without the stripe. I refuse to name these guys.....I'm Not going to get attached!! However, as you will see in a minute, they are starting to grow on me.

Here's another pic of the one without the stripes. If you click on the picture, you can see the girl kitty behind him.

And! WOW is she purty!! I do believe she is a girl, and I think the only girl....and she carries herself like a lady. Funny that you can tell what they are by the way the act:)

Here she is again.....Isn't she beautiful!!! And so dainty!

But this guy is the smallest of the group. He has a couple of white hairs on his chest, and few on his belly, but is mostly a black kitty. And he's a hunter!! He's normally the one I watch catching bugs at night, and he's actually really good at it. Yesterday he had some kind of cicada...I think, all I could see was it's butt and wings hanging out of his mouth, and it was big~ He must of had a mouthful...and he was trying to hide with it:) Too funny! Here he is sticking his tongue out for ya:)

I so wish they'd let me get closer! I hate seeing eye-boogies in their eyes, and I just want to wipe them off:) This little guy is smart though...in the afternoon, I will go out there and bribe them with treats and this one will sit right next to me to make sure he gets his....but he won't let me touch him....Cora's in love with this one and nicknamed him Sphinx.

This next one is the last one, and he is starting to grow on me. He's the only one I can pick up.....that doesn't try and freak out on me....And instead, he plays 'possum'(lol, I almost want to start calling him Possum, hehehe)...it's really funny, cause he just goes limp. I think he's so scared he doesn't know what to do, but he'll sit with me. I had him purring yesterday.......

I know he's a boy....And I think he's also the biggest kitten! He's the first and last to leave when they eat. And he's just so freakin cute.....I love how it looks like he has black eye-liner on...and that tiny black spot on his chin!!!
I so want to keep him, and if I can't....At least I know I can handle him, and hopefully get him off to a good home. The rest I still wonder about. What they really need is, a big farm to roam on...They'd make perfect Barn kitties!!

So....if you know anyone or have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. How do you tame feral kitties, can you house break them??? Anyone tried?? Know of anyone who needs Barn Kitties???
LOL, Yes, I know I'm asking a lot, I just don't want to see anything bad happen to them.

Momma and Rufus are still here, too......but we haven't seen the opossum in awhile. Wonder if having all those kitties under the trailer scared him off??? Poor Fella!

I hope you've enjoyed meeting the kittens....I know I enjoy waking up everyday to their little faces:) Makes me happy! And I will be even happier when I can get them from under the house:) So, if anything.....wish me luck:)

OK.....that's it for now. No minis today.....still looking for purple fabric.......and black trim that I like.....May have to wait on it though......
So, Until Next Time:)
