'Kawaii' Stickers...

Sorry, My pictures are a little blurry today.... Couldn't use the flash, it was washing everything out.... Can't go outside to take pictures because it's cold, and rainy, and Cold! Where did the nice spring weather go?? Ok, before I get sidetracked on the weather.... Let's see what I did all day yesterday. But, first let me start at the beginning!

I LOVE stickers. Always have. So the other day when I was out looking through Etsy, I came across what people call 'sticker flakes'. I thought they were just too darn cute, so I ordered myself a pack from Cute Paper Ect. I had no idea that they were as small as the were... and I got idea! Gift bags.... In miniature of course!

I just used scrapbooking paper to make the bags, and some ribbon I had in my scrapbox. And I added grommets to hold the ribbon. The pink tissue paper isn't tissue paper, it's the bag that my stickers came in:) It's this really thin plastic with white hearts stamped on it.... I just couldn't throw it away:)
The orange bags have orange tissue paper..... Still have to find my white tissue paper to finish the rest of the bags. And look, there's even one for Easter:)

My favorite's are these little girls....
And this set! As soon as I saw the panda, I thought of Minikat's project. She's been trying to add more pink in the nursery she's building... And I thought this was perfect! Then I realized that I still had the little panda birdhouse in my stash... What a perfect pair! Kat, I will get these in the mail to you sometime this week:)

I used a pattern I made to make the bags... And this time I wanted to backs of the grommets and the ribbon ends to be hidden... When they're not, things get stuck going in and out of the bag... Looks so much better now:)

Whenever the sun decides to come out, some of these will go up in Etsy! They'd be perfect in a teens room... and there's some that would be perfect for a nursery scene!

And before I go... thought I'd share a pic or 2. Here's Wilbur and Cleo napping together. The bf calls Cleo 'mini-Wilbur'..... They're just so cute together!!

Thought this was cute... Walked into the kitchen the other day... And saw this on my oldest son's desk... The babies were staring out the window, until the heard me clicking away on that camera....

Alrighty then.... I'm off to see what I can get into today:)

...until next time....

I almost forgot!!

Look at What I also found at Party City......dang on most expensive wrapping paper I've ever bought at $2.99 a roll! LOL....What Can I say, I buy wrapping paper all the Dollar Store cause the kids are just going to tear it up anyways, Right??......Well....Not this time.....Momma bought herself a roll of wrapping paper to play with, hahaha!
Don'tcha just think they'll make the perfect bags for the Star Wars Toystore?? I put one of the fairy bags next to Yoda so you could get an idea of what these bags may look like....It will just be his head, but it's so cool. Also thinking I can use Darth Vader's head, and that logo for some more bags?!
But first I must Finish my other bags!! Or I'll never get this stuff in the mail. Mercedes, your stuff is packed, wrapped....and ready to be shipped.....Debbie, Um, what can I say...One day I'll get 'er done! And Heather...I'm still on the prowl for the perfect Hippie paper to make a bag for your bowls to go into.......... Then there's Tessie's bag, filled with a little something special for her...and still trying to figure out what in the world to send Zar, he needs something too LOL!! Ladies....I don't think I'll be making it to the post office today....But soon!

The Evil Kitties.....

I'm still here......Just been working on the other website...and trying to get my Real life in order. But I don't want to talk about that kinda crap here......

So, on to the evil kitties. I found these guys at Party City the other day for a quarter a piece.....and they're the perfect size.......Just a little freaky looking!! Maybe a little paint would help? Recolor their eyes or something.....

I have also been trying to hunt down some gold 'handles'......and have had No luck. Then last night I came across this brown stuff and thought it would look really good with Debbie's horse bag.....Got 3 ends in......and then, while I was trying to get the last end through the hole........ I popped out one of those grommets and wanted to cry! UGGG! I have learned a valuable lesson though.....When making these bags, make sure your paper is thick, not so thick that you can't get it to fold properly, but not too thin!~ Or else you'll do what I did and rip out the grommets! I was so annoyed I put the bag back with the other bags.......and walked away. That's what I get for showing pictures of something I hadn't finished yet! Dang on it!!! (I tried to put it back, and it looks horrible......so I'll have to figure out something else......Hmmmmm????)

And then before I went to bed last night.....I made myself go in Cora's room, and glue those shelves I made into the kitchen! Why is it that the easiest things are the ones we put off forever?? LOL! Anyways.....I'm loving her kitchen! Tonight I will have her decorate! We have some pictures and a bulletin board to get up......And a few pineapples to stick here and there....

*I do need to thank De for the motivation though....after seeing my pineapple dishes in her cabinet, I had to see what ours looked like.....And I couldn't do that until the shelves got glued in.....So thanks De!!

It's in the bag....Almost!

...a peek at my corner of the coffee table....

Yesterday was just one of those days where you just can't seem to get anything done. I spent the better half of the morning trying to get my head together.....Went on a scavenger hunt for the things I can never find....House keys, day planner, purse, shoes......I swear there's a little man that goes behind me and Moves things just to amuse himself. I, however, find it most annoying.

Once I got myself together I headed for Kmart.....to get some Astrology Pooh's. And as fate would have it the first 2 that I got were the ones I was there to get....The Aries and the Taurus!

Then I headed for Michael's. I was on the hunt for Calenders...Now, I know I had just seen a whole bin of Clearance Calendars....but No, now that I'm actually out to buy them, I can't find any.....Not at Kmart, or Michael's, or The Dollar General, or Walgreens! Gees! Where ya'll hiding at??? It's only April. Looks like I did a lot, but I didn't. Came home with some ribbon from Michael's....paper plates from the Dollar General...and My meds weren't ready at Walgreens. Managed to stop at the grocery store......no drama there, got to bag my own groceries~ the right way! ......That always makes me happy! Came home.....and then slept ALL afternoon! Finally got up to cook some tocas......and worked on my bags until midnight. Fun, huh???
Who does this bag remind you of??? As soon as I seen it, I thought of our little friend in New Zealand! Don'tcha think it looks like her??
And then there's the bags I made for Debbie.....figured since she doesn't really know what's going in them, I could at least show her the bags, lol...As soon as I saw the pony....I knew I had to try it...his head wraps around the bag, and his teeth are on the back...it's so funny! And the sheep...I just couldn't help myself!
Then I came across the clock and knew where that belonged! However, I knew I couldn't make something for Zar and not make one for Tessie, so I came up with this butterfly bag....Now to convince Casey that they Need these bags.......
I started some of the handles last night, but was not impressed....so I gave up and slept on it.

Also...I have yet to make it to the post office! I'm still putting the final touches on some things, and only want to have to make one trip. Mercedes, Debbie, and Heather.....I'm working on it :)

And LISA L..............Come out, Come out~ Where ever you are! I have something for you!!!

Ok.....off to finish the bags........maybe........

Until Next time.....

From wrapping paper to Calendars

I've been waiting all day for the power to come back on so I could show you what I did last night. First I will start with the patterns I use. I just drew them out on some graph paper....and they've held up really well. The one at the top comes out to be about an inch and a 1/2 by an inch and a 1/2....and the sides expand to about 3/4 inch. I say 'about' because sometimes I will extend the top of the bag to make it a little taller.

Last night I made a special BIG one to wrap this picture in.....Just gives you an idea of how to make a pattern yourself. They're really simple!

Then last night, when I ran out of wrapping paper............I remember all those calendars I have stashed away for a rainy day. I buy them after the first of the year when they're on clearance....I just love the pictures in some of them.....The small images on the back make great pictures for framing. And this is what can be done with the images inside the calendar. See I can get 3 pretty bags of this one page......

And lots of pretty bags from one calendar!!! Sorry the picture is a little blurry.......I was in a hurry......I still have to finish them, some need grommets....and they need handles. Just a peek of what's to come......

Some finished bags

I've almost finished up most of the bags....

First are some of the doggie bags...

Next are bags from the wrapping paper Mercedes sent me........

Then I made a bag for a special friend....

And the last 2 are still being put together. The one on the right was made from a tag on a pair of shorts my son recently got. I loved the print on the it, and knew I kept it for such an occasion! LOL. The one on the left will get some pink handles, and filled with something special.....For someone special!
Cute, huh!!!
OK, until next time......
