New Listings on Etsy

Just wanted to give my blog friends a head start.... lol

After seeing my neighbor's yellow bench, I knew I had to make one! I love how bright it is.... Thinking I may have to make one of these for myself:)

I put up the last church..... ( I love this pic because you can see my bulbs poking through the ground- I'd tell you what they are but I can't remember, lol... we just planted them last year)

....and a set of 'nesting' dolls'.... don't really think I should call them nesting dolls since they don't fit inside each other, but they're still cute:)

...and speaking of fitting inside each other.... I was showing the kid the ones I made the other night... and he said to me that I needed to make them in smaller sizes- and even though I knew he was right.... I'm still not sure this was that bright of an idea... do you know how tiny the tiny ones are?? How in the world am I suppose to draw a face on them?? LOL..... But I had to try.... So here's the next set of dolls, with their first coats of paint on. I first paint all of them white, before putting on 3 coats of paint! The extra coats of paint seem to hide my fingerprints better. I also choose some brighter colors this time, don't think I like them as much as I did the first set of colors, but I'm working with it... and we shall see what comes of it.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! The weather is beautiful here..... Sunny and warmer than it's been:) lol

Until Next Time.........

On to Marshmallow Manor...

This year for Christmas, I received several gift certificates for the craft store..... Most of it went to supplies, but while I was there one day..... I seen this- for 50% off! I just couldn't pass it up! Marshmallow Manor is now kitty-proof! ((Well, they still think they need to sit on it, but I put the basket that holds our remotes up there, and now there is no room for a kitty butt! ))

I took a picture of it before I set everything back up....and as we can see there are a few things knocked over in the next pic....

I think I finally have the bones for this house together..... We'll start in the living room:) I still need to figure out what to hang on the walls. They look naked to me. I'd also like to make a fire inside the fireplace. Looks like it could use a rug too. Sorry, I'm more or less making that final mental list of what I need to do to get it all done. However.... I kinda like this collecting thing, and I like when you find that one little special piece you've been looking for!

This is the little house where the Grandparents live... So I try and keep that in mind when picking things out for it. When I was little, my family and I lived in Wales and we'd take the train into London every now and then. One of my Mom's favorite places to shop was Harrods.... so naturally when I found the Harrod's jug I knew I had to have it!! On top of the kitchen sink (from left to right) is one of Nikki's little pumpkin container's -I was so happy to finally be able to order something from her! Next is a clock that came with one of the furniture sets from Calico Critters. We had several clocks like this growing up, and if you put 2 of them in the same room, they'd stop working- then if you'd pick one up and walk out of the room with it, they'd both start ticking again. When we moved to America, they just stopped working all together! Very Strange!! Mom still has these clocks, and to this day, they've never ticked again! The 2 little pots next in line came from one of those sets, too. I just repainted everything and then added strawberry nail stickers. Last is a little jug that I made using a bead and one of Marlie's tutorials. On the right of the picture there is a hutch..... One that looks just like the one my Mom has owned forever!!

.... Although she has a mirror on the front of hers, and I have a mirror on the inside of mine....
Growing up it was our movie cabinet that had cinder block shelves! lol.... Now hers is filled with paper towels and aluminium foil~ my step-dad is a cook, so everything is industrial size around there, lol! So when it came to filling mine, I decided to fill it with the family's extra dishes..... Instead of cinder block I used my son's Legos:) Worked perfectly! Now that I'm looking at the hutch maybe I can use that metal bar at the top as a foil dispenser?? ...seems you can always find just one more thing to add, huh!

I've got the family's root veggies in the bottom drawer... Can't make a house for bunnies without carrots, now can ya?

.... a shot from afar....

And then another shot with the table and branch back in place. There's more of Momma's jugs on the table. Along with some of my real yellow candles. I'm thinking those need some kind of little plate to sit on?!

....oops... I forgot to take a picture of the upstairs, although it's no different the the last time.... I'm still waiting on my Mother to make a quilt, don't worry, I remind her weekly:) And I need to find a rug. Other than little accessories here and there, I do believe it's almost done:) Woo-who!

Until Next Time.......

Who needs an alarm clock....

...when you got Hurricane Otis...

First let me show you 2 pics from this last Christmas..... See what used to be my beautiful silver and blue tree....

Now- we don't put our tree up until right before Christmas... Because I don't feel like dealing with this every five minutes. I don't know what his deal is... But every year, he takes it down... I even have bells on my tree so we can here when he's in it... Terrible!!

And here in the last few weeks..... He's been diving into the dollhouse to wake me up in the morning...... I finally had to put a whole bunch of stuff on the floor so he can't get his running start..... And it has since been covered with a sheet .... didn't work at first, but now the sheet is tucked in under the dollhouse and he can't move it... I know this because I've watched him try and get in it... He's soooo bold!

So... This is what Cora's house looks like now.....
This is her girlie room.....Do you see what he's done to the bed? I'm going to have to take it apart and re glue it! DO you see the speaker falling through the stairs? That's suppose to be in Cora's Gothic room. And I don't know where all the stuff that is suppose to be on that bookcase back there went. I'm sure when I get around to putting this house back together, I'll find it.

I'm surprised that everything is still on the walls in the kitchen... There used to be my critters sitting at the table enjoying one of my cheese and bread spreads... I will say I have since found a few slices of cheese- they used to be glued to a cutting board?? And I have groceries everywhere.... What a mess!

This is the sitting room, the bathroom... and the parents room in the back... I don't think they want the tub in their room! I still have to hang a lot up in the bathroom, not something Otis got, just something that I hadn't got around to yet. And I need to figure out what I did with the wall that separates these 2 rooms.

Her dining room and living room got it the worst.... That's the room he likes to slide into the most. The dining room table was set and that cabinet on the right was once filled with stuff....

Poor Critters! Everything was decorated for Christmas.... But Otis took down their tree, too. **sigh** ..... there's so much to do.......

Damn cat! He's lucky he's our favorite!

And the winners are........

Do your kids get excited when they pull names from a hat for you??? Mine do:)

After pulling out Latina's name, I made him pull out another one.....

Than he pulled out Casey's name, and I had him do just one more......

Finally someone we don't know:) It sounds silly, but I've been gone from blogland for a little while, and wanted to give something to someone new. Don't worry Latina and Casey! I will send you one, too:)

You're gonna have to wait till Monday.... I want to clear coat them first, and I'm thinking of adding something else to them.... Latina and Casey- I have your address:) Sonya- Can you email me yours? Thanks for entertaining me....... I sure did miss all of you!!

Hopefully tommorrow I can get to some of the things I have ordered recently:) Plus I still need to show you where I'm at with Marshmallow Manor......... And what Otis has done to Cora's house- We'll just say it ain't pretty!

So.... Until Next Time:)

Give up Yet???

They're my version of a nesting doll......

Aren't they sooo cute? :)

I tell ya, I 'bout went crossed eyed last night trying to get the black lines in. I used a Sharpie Marker, that was trying to die on me... I had to stop every 2 seconds to scribble on a piece of paper to get the ink flowing again. Then I went back and colored they're hair in with different colored Sharpies.... There's red, brown, blonde..... And I love how 'simple' they look.... I did do one with poka-dots, but it just didn't do it for me...

I was so happy to get them done...wanted to take them outside today and take pictures of my little army, but it's raining:( So you'll just have to make due with these:) ...when it stops raining, I can clear coat them, too.... I think I want them shinny:)

And since no one guessed it right, I decided that when the kid gets home, I'll let him draw a name from those of you that commented out of a hat:) Sound good??

I was also able to order some more posts yesterday. I still have these to mount... they'll go in my Etsy shop when they get finished.... I think I might try and mount some of the little ones, too.

...ok..... I'm off to try and find something to keep me busy for the rest of the day.....

Until Next Time!

New Church and a little game:)

First, we'll start with the game....

Can anyone guess what these are gonna be??

Need another hint??

Ok....then maybe this will help....

Still don't know??? LOL.... Well, I'm not going to tell you! You have to wait till I finish.... And the first person to guess right will get one:)

**And on another note....
I got those 2 churches done.... This one is listed.... The other one has been put on hold. I love how the green grass makes the church so bright...

It's just one of those things that I love to photograph.....Looks good in the grass, looks good on the bricks..... And it will look really good in your dollhouse:) hehe

Well, Alrighty then.... I'm off to work on those things in the top picture........

Until Next Time

Retail Thearpy...

I know, I'm suppose to be working, but I couldn't help it....I had to go to the bank. And since I was already over in that direction.... I figured I'd pop in to the thrift store to see what I could find.... Don't worry, I only spent $2!! The tin on the right reminds me of a picture of my mother when she was little. She was probably 5, and she was hanging up her doll clothes on the line.... The paper mache' box with the squirrels was also too cute to pass up. Both were $.45!! Then in front is a pillow case! That was $1!! I love girlie pillows!! And I could not pass up those pink flowers!

Oh, and I forgot to add this one in earlier! I was trying to take a picture of the pandas last night.... and as you can see......Cleo is helping... too cute!

OK...ok

Back to work I go
Until Next Time...
