I Love the Sunshine!

I sure hope the weather is as beautiful there as it is here!! I just wish I could bottle it up and let it loose every morning:)

Thought I'd drop off some pictures so you could get an idea on size. This is Momma Fox (Mrs. Slydale if I'm correct). I've had her Forever- she's one of the original Sylvanians.... In the first picture she's holding a large crackled cream colored pumpkin...

...and in the second picture she's holding a small pumpkin...

Mrs. Beaver (which came from the original Mapletown figures) also came out for the photo op...

Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember taking pictures of these ladies when I was a little girl.... of course back then I would just line all of them up along a wall and a take a picture- how boring!! Don't you think they're much more interesting this way:)

Don't forget to check out all the pumpkins in my Etsy store:)

...until next time....

She thinks she's soooo funny!

Cora redecorated the kitchen again....She's taking a likin to the Beaver family....so you may see a lot of them. Here's the kitchen again........

The oldest son is putting away the groceries (that Tara Sent!!)........Dad just came home from work~ and look! He brought flowers!!

And the sister is off to go shopping.....LOL...typical! She should really be helping her brother put those groceries away!!

And while I'm in here...thought I'd show you what the rug that De sent me looks like.....The big one is perfect for under the table.....
And here's a pic of the other one...This one is a little small, so I was thinking last night that it would make a pretty place mat.....I could put it under the stuff on the table?
....Oh, and here is Cora's sense of humor.......She came running in the other night, to tell me I Had to come see what Mr. Beaver was doing.........
Poor Mr. Beaver........LOL, Reminded me of my Dad......he had a small library under the bathroom sink! Hahaha!!

My very first miniature...

Here's a picture of my very first 'Big Girl' miniature....You'll have to excuse the mess it's in....I've had it for over 25 years now. But, for some reason, I've never been able to part with it. They turkey isn't even attached anymore, and it's missing part of it's legs. It used to be really cute!

Sorry, I have no great ideas to share with you. Real life just has me worn out! I did manage to rummage through some of my things last night and came across some things Chris from Candid Canine made for me last year. I've had it packed away to go in Cora's living room, but figured I'd take it out and take a couple of pictures......

Here's Mr. and Mrs. Beaver enjoying a nice dinner of pot roast and salad. There's even a cake for dessert!

I used some cut up straws for cups.....and pulled out some silverware I had. I like how the Maple Town figures can grasp things!

Not sure if the Beavers would take offense to a pot roast dinner......but in my world... They're having a nice romantic sit down dinner.......

Pictures for Minikat....and a toaster update...

Last night, I took out some of My critters for a kitchen scene..... Let's see, from left to right we have....... One of the daughters from the Sylvanians' Corntop family, then Patty Rabbit from the Maple Town Series.....and next is The Nurse Dog from Maple Town, and last is another daughter from the Slydale Fox Family (Sylvanians again).

I couldn't decide which picture to use....so You get to see all 3....

The Nurse Dog is making Pb&Js for everyone....Yum!

...lol....I really need to repaint that kitties eyes!!!

...and a little update on the toaster..... I got the hearts painted a deeper shade of copper, and I like it. I still need to repaint the toast~ it's just too darn bright! And finish it off with a nice coat of sealer......But, it's getting there.

*Fluffy Bricks: You are more than welcome to use pictures of the toaster when I finish it!! I'm not sure if it's exactly 1:12, but it's close! When I totally finish painting it, I will take pics of it in the kitchen for you! :)

OK.....off to see what kind of trouble I can get into today.

Util Next time...

What a Beautiful Day for a Picnic!

Woke up this morning.....the sun was shinning......and my little friends were dying to go outside......and have a picnic! Cora and I helped them out a little setting the table......and decorating the 'garden'. I made a stop at Katie's Corner and grabbed a few veggies.......and Cora grabbed a couple loafs of bread outta her house. And the fairies sprinkled every thing with weeds, Um, I mean Flowers!

They even had a guest, But she was in no mood to sit still for a picture!

You see, Here they are when they first started to step up......See how boring it all looked!?

My Favorite Critters

When I was little, my Maple Town 'people' lived in my dollhouse. I had lots of families all living under one roof....Kinda like an apartment. I still have these families, and plan on using some of them in my room boxes. I drug them all out the other night, was going to set them up for you....but then I had remembered I had bagged up the families and labeled each of them. I really didn't want to take them all out....Although I'm sure they would all appreciate some fresh air. Some of them are Maple Town, some are called Sylvaninan Families, and I think there is also Calico Critters and Forest Families. Just different companies that pretty much made the same thing. Either way, they're one of my most prized possessions! I added another figure to the couch, that way the one that was already there doesn't get lonely. . Do you see the 2 shaving cream tops on the sides of the couch. This is where I'm stuck~ I can't figure out what I want to do with them. I know I want to use them as side tables, I'm just not sure what finish I want. I thought about covering them with Mod Podge and tissue paper....or I could paint them....or I could roll them in glue~ and then roll them in those little tiny beads............OK, do you see my dilemma......ugggg! Decisions, decisions!! LOL~ the floor is not really white, that's my 'drop cloth' (a piece of poster board cut to size) for the living room. It keeps Otis from chewing and scratching at the new floors that I put in there.
Speaking of Otis, he's taking a break from the dollhouse. Daddy bought some new shoes, so Otis has a new box. He likes it with the lid down.....at least I think he does, he curls right up in there and goes to sleep.
Unless there's something fun to play with....and trying to steal the camera cord is Always fun!!

I'm so exicited...I just couldn't wait

~Yeppers! It is so much easier to blog when you can see your pictures as you type!~

I just couldn't wait till tomorrow to show you this...........are you ready?! I went to the fabric store today and got some gold trim, brown suede like fabric (to be used for curtains), and some fabric with gold paisley print. I'll save what I did with the trim for later....lets discuss the gold paisley material! Oh, and BTW ...I only spent $4, on everything!! Remember that couch I showed you? The pink one that had been painted black? Well, today I went ahead and ripped off all the pillows, and started to attach the gold paisley material. I'm not writing a tutorial for this~ I'll be honest~ It was a pain in the butt! I'll just say I folded, glued and tucked as I went.
Pretty impressive, huh! Haha, well, I'm impressed.
One of my bears came out to give it a try. This is what lived in my dollhouse as a kid~ Maple Town Families! I still have them....all one hundred and something.....Don't believe me? I'll have to drag the rest of them out and take a group picture. Oh, I sure hope they all cooperate! I also printed out the rug under the couch. I think it ties in the wall color pretty well. Wait till I have throw pillows, and some side tables....this is going to look great!

Ok, good night! I'll be back tomorrow with an explanation as to what that tube thing is with the gold trim on it, in the top picture. Can you guess???
