Potting table has been listed:)

Finally got the potting table listed in etsy..

I almost don't want to part with it.. But I've got to clear out this house so I can make room for new stuff..

I've also reduced the prices on a few things to try and clear out my inventory..

And hopefully before Christmas I can get the Christmas stuff listed. I did make some Christmas tree shelves using different trims:) but still need to add a star to the top... They look much better in person- I've been slowly dragging out the Christmas stuff to try and take some great pictures, just keep getting sidetracked...

I am moving at a snails pace over here, I do apologize.. You know how life can be sometimes. I still can't find my muse... Makes it really hard to be creative.. I just miss having full use of my hand and need to suck it up... You can see how much of the tip I lost- and oneday I will get it fixed! It still hurts- and is making me sad. I just want my old life back...
... Until Next Time...

A Potting Table

Thought I'd share a few pictures of something I made the other night. I'm losing my creativity over here.. Stress is just got my mind bogged down! But! I am not one to give up.. So the other night I pulled out the wood and just went with it:) And this is what I came up with..

And look:) It's even got wheels!! And it actually rolls!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures:)

Until Next Time...

Finally listed:)

I got the pumpkins, the teapots and the pitchers listed in the store.
It's been raining for days, which means no natural light:( I like to use pictures with both inside light and outside light. The pumpkins have several colors in them- and they photograph different in different light.
I really like how they turned out:) I hope you do too!!
You can find a link to my store on the top right of my page. And don't forget to check out all the other amazing miniatures while your at Etsy:)

Until Next Time...

The beginning of Pumpkin Season..

For the past month or so I have been sculpting pumpkins:) I needed a few for the Treehouse and figured I'd make some for the store. I've always made crackled pumpkins, but this year I made some that look real.. Or at least in my mind they look close:)
I did several sets.. Some are really shiny.. There's dark orange ones and a lighter colored orange set. There's two white sets:)
And then I made a few of these:)
Again I needed a set for the Treehouse and I made a few extras for the store:)
I even found a couple of crackled ones in my stash:)
Hopefully I can finish up my pictures tomorrow and finally get everything in the store.

..Until Next Time..

I got a board cut.. Hey- it's a start!

I seem to get side tracked really easily these days and I do apologize.

My personal life took a new direction a few months ago and I am still trying to find my bearings. This year has been a really hard year.. It's kept me from wanting to blog.. I try really hard to keep this my positive place. I do appreciate all the comments I have recieved, they really do make me feel good about my work. So enough with the bs.. And on to a few pictures.

I'm still tinkering with the treehouse. I can't see how I want to decorate the inside yet, so it's sitting on my dresser and I get to stare at it all day while I think about it. I did figure out how I want to do the sink- with a little help from a friend:) In one of my Tinker Bell books I saw the perfect solution for the faucet handle-the  use of a key:) I will post pictures when I make it, lol. For now you'll have to settle for a picture of the board I had cut for the base:) I've always wanted to do a landscape... This will be fun once I figure out how to go about doing it, lol. I hate the sit and stare part!
And I did find some polymer clay rocks that I had made a long time ago. I plan on painted them to make them look real.

I'm sorry for working backwards.. But I wanted to talk about the picture of the cat:) I took this a few days ago and fell in love with it. I made it black and white to add to the look. And Yes! I love the falling apart shed behind him.. To me.. It makes for a great background:) Very Octobery, lol...

Stay tuned.. I will be back soon to discuss some pumpkins:)

Until Next Time:)

A Sink for the Treehouse

Lets Talk Saws..

OA few of u have recently asked me about my hand so I figured I would put these posts together. It's been six months now since my hand got broke. And my middle finger is still no good. Thinking about it- it will always remain broke- the bones in the finger tip got shattered and pushed down. I'm still going to have to have surgery oneday to have them removed.. But I lost my health insurance, so it will have to wait. I can bend my finger and have good mobility in my hand.. But I can Not use my middle finger for anything because it still hurts like crazy and it's still swollen. The back side of my hand throbs a lot too- but I think that comes from holding my finger up- I try and keep it out of the way.. Without flipping off the world, lol.
There are things I can do.. Like sculpt and paint. Although its really difficult to get my hand into anything small- and no matter what I do my left hand is not as smart as my right hand. Holding a  paint brush for any amount of time gives me hand cramps.. But as you can see I am Not giving up!
But this is where I'm having a problem. Cutting wood. I have always used an exacto knife to cut everything I need for signs, birdhouses and benches, ect. But I just don't have the strength in my hand anymore to do it that way.. So I'm looking at saws.. Scary!
And I was wondering what you use? Maybe I'm too cavemanish.. But looking through this Micro- Mark catalog has me confused. What's the difference between the saws! What do you use.. Any brands better? Any too stay away from? What kind of saw do you use? So many questions, lol. Just wondering if any one had any advice:)

Now.. As for the pictures in this post: just thought I'd show you where I'm at with the treehouse.. There's a lot to still finish. But I like where it's going!! Today.. I think I might work on the piece for above the door:)

Until Next Time:)

Our listings are up!

We all got our listings up in Etsy today around 3 pm.. And I must say! Everything looks great!! Dale from DalesDreams and Linda from CalicoJewels have done an amazing job on our new Americana Line! These are the pictures that I took of my stuff.. And if you get a chance check out all the pictures Dale took and posted on her blog. Our stuff looks really good together. (I'd add the links, but I'm still using my iPhone to do Everything.. N I'm not sure how to do it.. Any ideas on how to fix that?)

The Day Bed is not for sale! This is something you will see again in my listings. I left the mattress loose so I can change it out to match what I'm doing. It's not really 1/12 scale- but works great for what I'm using it for..
And I also wanted to show you one more thing:) I've actually been working on this piece since I first did the barns- if you remember those. But this barn I made differently. I left the roof off so I could turn it into a toy box.. I just never knew how to assemble the roof so it would open, until I found some hinges in my stash..

It's now listed in my store..

I'm so bad about talking about my stuff and what kinda work goes into it! I just wish I had the right words:)

Don't forget to check out our stores:)

Until Next Time

Needs more grey??

I've been painting the tree bark for the past couple of nights.. I started with brown..

Then I drybrushed on gray..

And then.. I drybrushed on green..
I kinda miss the gray... I might go back and add some more.. It needs high lights:)

It does look good outside too.. However this is the time of year when everything is drying up and dying- at least in my garden. I'm thinking I need to find a big field with buttercups:)
And NO! It's not done. I still have to age the door, add its hardware.. Get rid of the new white spots around the door- and the blue tape that got stuck.. And then the mossin can begin!! But for now.. I've got to take a break to get ready for the Big Reveal on Labor Day! Wait till you see the pictures Dane has taken!! Amazing!! I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been working on:)

When U can't sleep.. You paint!

I was up till 5 am last night, painting:) sometimes when your in the mood, you just go with it- no matter what time of day, lol!
I'm still aging things, but I got the base coats done for the steps, the stonework, and the roof. It was so bright when I first painted it... So I keep dry brushing on darker colors. (This was the first coat of paint)

After I recheck again for white spots- u have to look at it from every angle to make sure there's no tiny holes anywhere that didn't get painted.. I think I'm on my fifth coat of black paint now- but soon ill ready to paint the tree!! I'm excited about that part! It's the decorating that scares me..

Until Next Time..

Update on the treehouse

I got a chance to work on the treehouse recently and thought I'd share an updated pic or two:) Right now I'm painting everything black for the undercoat- it will really come to life when I start in with the browns!!
I'm not happy with the knot.. I think it's too small, I did paint it black.. Might go back and add more.. Still thinking about it..

Until Next Time...

Im feeling beachy:)

I've been trying to get my beach items loaded in the store so I can begin to get the Halloween signs up.. And Labor Day weekend "we" have a surprise coming.. Stay tuned- I will be back with more about that later..

But for now.. Lets look at pictures:)

This is a dresser that I have refinished. I also made the baskets- drawers.. They were made from paper and have been coated with layer After layer of paint to give them the look of tin.. I normally use it in all my store pictures, but I am ready for change and have decided to sell it. It's one of my favorite pieces!!
I've also listed a couple birdhouses..

And I got the Merdog and the Mermouse listed..
I also listed a few nesting dolls. I have a whole hand ful of them that need to be listed as well, so if ur just looking for one, convo me and I will see what I can do for you:)
.. And hopefully if I can get my butt in gear I will get these listed soon too- in the picture they're not finished, but I thought I share a teaser pic with you..

..I need to do a lot of updating, but as usual there's just not enough hours in the day..

So
Until next time..

Putting it all together..

I've been playing with a few things I have around here.. And thought I'd show you what I came up with:)
I made a few more pillows for the bed and brought out a polymer clay puppy I made. The night stands were planters I made a few nights ago. They are real stone:) The picture above the bed is one I pulled out of Cora's house... It's of Jackson's Mill. I made the birdhouse and the Alice in Wonderland book. I even made the dress that Mrs. Bear is wearing! The bookcase I bought off line sometime ago- it's too small for 1/12 scale, but looks great with this scene. The roses I bought from our local dollhouse shop.

And the chair was a gift from a friend:) That post will soon follow!! I hope my friend doesn't mind that I borrowed her chair for the scene?!
I'm really happy with how everything came together.. Now I just need a room box for it:)

Until next time...

The Bee Bed

Sorry I stepped away again.. I've been busily working on a project, that I'm just Not gonna talk about, haha. But today I got all the big stuff finished.. N decided to give my head a break.. And just pull something random out and go from there. Well.. It all started with a bee:)

My best friend had given me several wood pieces.. And when I came across the bag today, it just all made sense. I had the material put away- it was one of those things you see at the fabric store, and just know you need a half a yard For some kind of project, someday:) And my Mom had picked these little beds up at a dollar store. They were too small for 1/12 scale, but work perfectly for Calico Critter scale:)
I still want to make some more pillows, but I think it's cute. And it gave my head a much needed break.
I gonna try and stop by here soon and fill you in on all the bs of life, but not today.. Today I'm just gonna create:)

Until next time:)

That time of year again

I took Cora to camp on Saturday and just  wanted to share a few pictures with you.. Sorry for the gap in posts... I will return to everything shortly:)
The first picture is of The German Valley in West Virginia..

Then that's a picture of Cora walking across the rock beds at Audra State Park in West Va. This place is beautiful!! I only wish we could of spent more time and that we had both the boys with us- but this was a Girls Trip only. Just me and my daughter;)

And last we have The Seneca Rocks in West Va. I drive by these on the way up and on the way back... The picture doesn't do it justice- it's huge! I'll never forget the first time we drove by it years ago and stopped with all the other tourist to take pictures. And my youngest son said "I don't get it, it's just a rock..." Lol.. Well yes! But have you ever seen a rock that big? :)

Until Next Time...
