It just takes me Forever to finish something. LOL........ So with that being said, I did get a little bit of work done on the mouse house this past weekend. I found a piece of velum that I fell in love with and used it as the windows for both the upstairs and the downstairs. I didn't want a clear window, I wanted something with a little interest.
I got the door hardware glued in..... And the floor.....
And then I started building up the sides of my house with foamcore board (that's what I had....so that's what I used)
Once I get all the sides glued on, I will go back and plaster in the holes.....Then I'll go back and cover that with paperclay to create the bark on the tree......

Katie, this is soooooo cool! I can't wait to see it finished!
I just adore this project, I almost cant believe you used the michaels house as a stepping stone for it. Wow, Katie just Wow! The mouse family are the luckiest calico critters ever
This is amazing! Unbelievable that under all that artwork is a simple ply structure. The 'tree' looks so real!!
wow until the outside shots...I had completely forgotten there was a dollhouse under there! It looks amazing!

I think this is going to be an amazing amazing mouse house! The inside is pure magic, dear! I know you, you will make the outside stunning as well. Love it to bits.
oh my goodness - this is really awesome!!! I love seeing your progress shots too.... I never done anything like that so its cool to know what you used. I's wishing some energy your way right this moment :) hugs, ara
How smart with the windows- I love them! I can't wait to see the magic happen on the outside of the house- this might end up being my most favorite dollhouse ever! It's funny that you asked me about the polymer clay for the candy on my house, because I found some super cute candy molds and I was going to try using them with clay. I'm not so good at the clay so cross your fingers for me :)
Its just gorgeous Katie, Lola and I love it to bits! Will that be a chimney on the outside your going to cover? Kate xxx
So wonderful, Katie! You are so creative!
