So, these little houses aren't mini...but I thought I'd share them anyways. Found all 6 unpainted for $2.... Actually it was one of those cases where I saw them at the thrift store, and thought they were too expensive, so I waited....
I painted each one brown, then went back over it with a thick coat of crackle medium...Then I painted each one a different color.....and when they were dry, I sanded the edges down. I still think they need something, but my mind is telling me they are cute the way they are??
Don't you think they need windows, or big chunky numbers...or something??? I dunno~ If I stare at them long enough, it will come to me.....
...but for now, I'm off to finish the birdhouses I've been working on today....I'll be back when they're done........So

Katie, what kind of crackle medium are you using? Just curious. Looks good!Sure do hope that the cats don't sleep too long....There could be a danger if you start crackling cats! Hmmmm...."Revenge of the Crackled Cats"....Good name for a novel....LOL

More crackling????!!! :):) but boy do these letterboxes look good :). I love that they are all different and only share the crackling for similarities and the fact that they are all houses.
If you have the flocking , I bet you will be making birds but you have been so generous with them :). I am making you a promise that I will try my darnest to make the prettiest birds for my mum's peonies / firefly park :) .
