Totally of Topic...

...So, earlier I was surfing the net and came across some pictures of an old asylum in black and white, and thought to myself.... Hey! I can do that with my pictures over in photoshop! And so I did.....Here's some of the pictures from Weston State Hospital, this time in black and white.

I just love how much it ages everything. Shows every bit of dirt and grime.....makes the rough edges rougher, Ya know?!

Makes this picture look like something creepy happened on that wall there...

I love all the different layers....the peeling paint, the texture of the walls, and that grimy sink.....
"Oh, if only the walls could talk....."

Sorry...just wanted to share my pictures with someone:)
Minis later, I promise :)

Katie, when are you going to do one of the asylum rooms in mini? It could be interesting.....

I like b&w too; it always adds something that the color can distract from. Interesting place to look around in!

I was going to say the same as Casey- seeing these in black and white makes me think what a cool mini scene they would make! The one with the gurney is soooo cool!

Some scary pictures, Katie! Reminds me of the time when I visited a castle in Alhambra in Spain and in this room in the basement, they left a blood stained bed there. Apparently that room was used as a hospital during the war. I was spooked because I swear that place is haunted. I am uneasy even now thinking about it. LOL

Just thought ya'll might like to know that those stains on the wall are from a paint ball gun. After the place closed, it sat vacant for a long time, and during that time the local police department used it as a training place.....
And this place was used during the civil war! Lots and lots of history behind that place, I do think I can be bold enough to say it's where West Va got its money....
