A glimpse into my weekend.....

I had a totally kid free weekend, and wouldn't you know that I sat my butt on the couch all weekend! This is what I got done....
*I cut out little squares of material, folded them up, and put them into drawers/ baskets. I love the one with all the pinks:) Very girlie!! And look at those beautiful fabrics in the bottom drawer of the dresser...Those are from Ira in Finland....((And speaking of Ira, HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM HER??? I sure hope everything is OK!!))
.................Still need to figure out what to put into the top 3 drawers...... suggestions welcome!
*I painted the rest of the chess pieces..... Some days, you just feel like painting.....

*I also made some more signs..... I'm using a crackle medium with these.... And Luving it!! I'll take a better (close up) Picture of them when I'm done.

And then, since I haven't really posted any kitty pictures in awhile......And as any multiple cat owner knows how hard it is too get All the animals to sit together...I thought I'd show you the kitties....I had to bribe them with treats for this picture...... But they're all there......

Well........ That's about it for now..... I'm off to crackle some more signs.....
Until Next Time....

I just love how you have chosen the right range of colours for those drawers and baskets. I love the orange /yellow range! :)

Thanks for showing us how you made the signs. Will want to try them someday :).

Those kitties are just precious!

I just love those chess pieces, I have to find myself an old game box too somewhere. And yes you´re right, it can be very difficult to stop ageing things, but then again.. why should we ;-)
Love, Susanne
PS: The other things are great too!

Love your cat picture! We own 6 cats (lets face it: actually they own us, lol) and 2 dogs, never got a good pic of all of them together, will try the treat thing, good idea.

You have been busy. Looks great. I have tried the crackle medium and didn't have a lot of luck with it - goodness knows what I was doing wrong!

Hello Katie!
You did a great job to the chess pieces, they are so decorative just as they are!
I love your signs and have a question about the rubber stamps...where did you bought them? I have not found any place to buy similar in internet.
I think the fabric in the draws also was great idea!

Everything looks great Katie, but I have to say my favorite picture is the last one! I could spend weeks at your house cuddling cats :) Funny how mesmerizing those treats can be-lol :)

It is so nice to see all the cats at once. I have two cats and a dog that is smaller than the cats and I have trouble getting the three of them in one picture. One is always running off. My favorite is the long haired one just under your hand. I love your signs too. I have never tried crackling but I would like to try it.
