The Hardest Part....

I been steadily filling up the glass house......Guess I need to name it sometime, huh?? Please excuse the mess, I'm still getting settled in here.....

Do you see the wire shelf on the right.....I sanded the shelves down and put a coat of wash-wash on them...Then I repainted the metal. Look familiar Mercedes??? You sent it to me over a year ago......

I also repainted the little chair in the front left corner.......

Do you see how much it stood out before (pic below)? I think it looks a lot better lighter (Pic above)!
......Sans! Do you see the cabinet in the front left corner? That's the same one you just put material in.....I made the mistake before of saying that my son had bought it for me, but We both know it came from Mercedes:)

So....I'm still trying to figure out how I want everything, for me this is the hardest part...... I'm good at making it, I just can't arrange it the way I want it. I love it when you see a dresser opened up, and clothes are falling out of it...... Just haven't figured out to achieve that look myself. Any suggestions?? **Oh, I did find the best eye-candy of a blog, Ever! It's exactly what I'm going for!! You should check it out~ http://trash2treasure.wordpress.com./

Until Next Time:)

Katie, I can't believe how quickly you have managed to put everything together and still make it look so good!I went to the Trash to Treasure site and I think you have really captured the look in miniature.

I blew up all the pics and saw that you really have so many treasures! Those interesting wooden pieces you put on top of one of the cabinets (where the metal shelf was), what are they? I love the colour of the wood. Are they the doors of the cabinet that you have bashed?

I agree with you that the chair looks much better now with your painting .

I hope Mercedes reads our posts and see what we have each done with her wonderful gifts :):).

Yes, I believe I have just manoeuvered my way through this crowded and charming brocante and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there :). PS I love open drawers in an antique store :):).

Hi Sans!
Those shelves on the dresser are the shelves to the metal shelf that is now there.... They had been sanded, but not white-washed... They were once really dark, and I needed a softer look:)

¡Y ahora tienes que poner precio a todo? Esas tiendas siempre estan muy llenas y poco ordenadas.
Me encanta cómo te queda.
